BBQ Chicken Pizza Recipe

Diabetes Recipe
This BBQ Chicken Pizza goes light on the calories and is easy to make. It combines healthy veggies, a pinch of spice and tried and true BBQ flavor for a dish kids will love.

Ingredients

    • 1 whole grain pizza crust
    • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
    • 6 oz skinless, boneless chicken breast, cooked and diced
    • 1 tsp chili powder
    • 1/4 tsp cumin
    • 1/4 medium red onion, chopped
    • 3 green onions, chopped
    • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 Tbsp light ranch dressing
    • 3/4 cup reduced fat cheddar cheese

Preparation

    • Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
    • Lightly coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Bake pizza crust for about 10 minutes and remove from oven.
    • Increase oven temperature to 350 degrees.
    • Spread BBQ sauce over crust. Sprinkle chicken, chili powder, cumin, onion and pepper. Drizzle with ranch dressing and sprinkle cheese over top.
    • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese becomes bubbly.
