Kathryn Alguire, MD
After earning her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan, Dr. Alguire completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. A Medical Oncology fellowship was completed at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. Alguire joined the practice at Cancer & Hematology Centers of Western Michigan in 2004.

Eric D. Batts, MD
Dr. Batts earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, Michigan where he also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He completed a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Batts is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He holds memberships in the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Kent County Medical Society. Dr. Batts joined the practice of Cancer & Hematology Centers of Western Michigan in 2007.

Nina Johnson, MD
Dr. Johnson came to the Mercy Health Johnson Family Cancer Center from Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, where she served as the Radiation Oncology Medical Director. Having graduated from Indiana University Medical School, Dr. Johnson completed her Residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan, and was an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan Medical Center.
Dr. Johnson has expertise in all facets of Radiation Oncology including pediatric radiation services, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), 4-Dimensional conformal therapy (respiratory gating), Real-Time Prostate Seed Implant, Stereotactic Radiosurgery for both brain and body, and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy for lung, cervix, uterus, breast, and prostate. She has clinical interests in breast, pediatrics, and prostate cancer.

Hikmet Sipahi, MD
A graduate of Michigan State College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan, Dr. Sipahi completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Southwestern Michigan Area Health Education Center, Bronson Methodist Hospital, Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology at M.D. Anderson Hospital, Houston, Texas.
Dr. Sipahi is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. He is a member of the American Medical Society and the American Society for Clinical Oncology. Dr. Sipahi had been in private practice since 1987 before joining Cancer and Hematology Centers of Western Michigan in 2008.

Matthew Tate, MD
Dr. Tate is the Radiation Oncologist at the Mercy Health Johnson Family Cancer Center. He completed medical school at East Carolina University and his radiation oncology residency at the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky. He served as chief resident from 2008 - 2009.
Dr. Tate is trained in various radiation treatment modalities, including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), gynecologic and prostate brachytherapy, Gamma Knife Radiosurgery and stereotactic body therapy.
