Meeting Community Needs

As part of a nonprofit, Catholic health care ministry, Saint Mary's Health Care is committed to assessing and responding to the needs of our community. We do this through programs and activities that promote health and healing — also called Community Benefit. For more information on this, visit the Catholic Health Association.

Some of our Community Benefit programs include:

  • The Pharmaceutical Assistance Program, which provides assistance to people in our area who don't have the resources to get the prescriptions they need.

  • Wheels of Mercy, a program run by health workers who go out into the community in a repurposed RV, providing health screenings, financial enrollment opportunities and pharmaceutical assistance to those who need it most.

  • Uncompensated Care, which allows patients who can't afford to pay for medical treatment receive the services they need to heal.

  • Advocacy, through its Lead the Way campaign, Trinity Health is encouraging our nation's leaders to work toward a system that provides affordable coverage and high-value, coordinated care to every patient. Learn more about the campaign.
