Sometimes our patients come great distances to receive care at Saint Mary's. That's why we recommend guest housing available to visiting families.
Sophia's House - Currently Under Construction
Saint Mary's Health Care has received a $1 million grant from The Wege Foundation for the new Guest House currently under construction on the Saint Mary's campus, across from The Lacks Cancer Center.
The new Guest House, which will be a three-story home featuring hotel-like accommodations, will include 15 private rooms, living space designed to offer areas for respite, an exercise room, and a communal dining area. The Guest House will be called Sophia's House in honor of Sophia Louise Wege, mother of Peter M. Wege.

Ronald McDonald House
Located about 10 minutes by car from our downtown campus, the Western Michigan Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families of young patients who don't live in the Grand Rapids area. Each room will sleep four to five people and costs $6 per night, regardless of the number of guests.

Area Hotels
As a member of Trinity Health, discounted hotel rates are available to our patients and their families when receiving care. When making a reservation at participating hotels in Grand Rapids, you simply need to say that you are "with Trinity Health." No further information should be needed.
